You are pregnant. The day you’ve waited for(or maybe not….suprise!) since you were a little girl: becoming a mommy. Thousands of hours are spent day dreaming about the day you’re little girl or guy gets here. What color hair they’ll have, how big will they be, and for some is it a boy or girl, but often very little though is given to the reality of acutallly delivery a baby.
Who will your doctor be, or should you choose a midwife? Epidural or unmedicated labor? How will my baby be delivered: cesarean section or vaginal birth. Do I need a birth plan? What happens immediately following delivery? How will I even know I am in labor?
These are the most frequent questions asked of a labor and delivery(OB) nurse. This site was established to answer these questions and more with a bit of humor by an OB nurse.
